Minister's Path

Distance: 10km/6miles, 290m ascent

Scotways Route 162

 

This is a well known and historical route.  So-called because the Kirk Minister of Glen Clova also administered to the parishioners of Glen Prosen.  Each Sunday he would ride his pony from glen to glen and back again.  It is rumoured that the horse could find its own way!  Now that the glen roads are tarmac'd a slight detour is taken through the woods and across the South Esk by a new footbridge.
