Long distance trails from A to B are our speciality, such as the iconic Jock's Road, Monega Path, Lairig Ghru and many others less well known.  We are also specialists in the Cateran Trail with an intimate knowledge of every part.  This is Scotland's only circular long distance walk, and depending on which options you take it is up to around 64 miles long.  The Cateran Trail with only minor exceptions is almost entirely track and path based, but it does entail climbing over stiles from time to time, and cannot avoid some tarmac.  Due to its nature there are variations and alternatives with one scenic remote section (Glen Beanie) and another that goes over Mount Blair (a Graham).  We also offer wilderness backpacking treks, similar to those of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Bronze, Silver and Gold and have added our own Platinum 4 night expeditions as well.  Any of the linear trails can be done on an overnight expedition basis as well.

Our instructors and leaders are fully qualified and insured Mountain Leaders in both Summer and Winter as well as Single Pitch Award holders, and with back-office support and transport options you are in capable hands.  Our back-office staff also have many years experience at organising and running community fairs and events such as the annual Blairgowrie and East Perthshire Walking Festival, and the weekly health walking scheme Blairgowrie and District Next Steps, so as well as assisting you in putting something similar together we can also provide corporate team building days.

There are literally hundreds of remote walking options within an hour of Blairgowrie, where we are based and where there is also a wide range of overnight accommodation.  Routes can be short or long, circular or linear, high level into serious hill country or low level either near or away from habitation.  Most are suitable for an overnight camp or can be done in a single but long day.  Click here for our activity portfolio which can be adapted to suit your own requirements.  All you need to bring is personal equipment, food and drink, and appropriate clothing and footwear.  A printable list of what you are recommended to carry can be found by clicking here.  Whatever you wish to do please contact us for further information.

We also offer climbing and abseiling on one of the several crags and an indoor climbing wall nearby.

We are an accredited National Navigation Awards provider, and can offer specific one day courses in using a GPS, navigation refreshers, and theory based map reading.  Other training available includes the Hill and Mountain Skills courses based on the Mountain Training curriculum.  We also carry out Winter Skills training, where you can learn how to move on steep ground with ice-axe and crampons and be briefed on safe travel techniques.

Our adventure rates are based from £140 per day for up to 4 clients, plus from £15 per additional person.  Group maximum size varies up to 10 depending on the activity.

We are members of Outdoor Angus, Mountain Training Association, Mountaineering Scotland, and an accredited provider of National Navigation Awards, as well as one of the first providers of the Personal Proficiency courses in Hill and Mountain Skills.
